This small book is an invaluable guide to the mollusks that are found in the waters surrounding Mauritius and Reunion. As you would expect the greater number of the mollusks found here are a mix of species found off of East Africa and the Indo-Pacific. But since these islands are remote form any mainland they have also given rise to a large number of endemic species and it is these shells that will be of most interest to collectors. The text is in French throughout the book. The first chapters of introductory material will already be familiar to most of us and other than a name & author there is no text to accompany the plates. The photographic plates are of high quality making the use of this book as an identification guide very easy.
