One late autumn evening in 1966, the yachting visionary Pekka Koskenkyla wandered into Heinz Ramm-Schmidt's office and spread the blueprint for a new ocean cruiser. This was the beginning of an interesting era in ocean racing: Koskenkyla founded the Nautor shipyard, which in a short time achieved world fame. Heinz Ramm-Schmidt achieved with his Swan boats an unprecedented series of victories in ocean races. In addition to the book being exciting almost like an adventure story with its descriptions of dramatic sailing adventures, it also meritoriously sheds light on 50 years of the development and history of ocean racing in the Baltic Sea region - a period of time, which until now has been scarcely documented. An unusual element in this sailing book is that the background forces - perhaps the skipper - are also allowed to speak. In one chapter, she reveals how it feels to be married to a sailing legend, who prefers to rush around the sea with unfurled sails.
